Titanes dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Metros' 36. Titanes forced 21 Metros turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Sterling Manley (213-1998, college: UNC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 21 rebounds and Quade Green who added 20 points and 8 assists during the contest. Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003, agency: BMS Sport Agency) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Reales have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-6 record. Indios at the other side keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Reales will play against league's second-placed Caneros in La Romana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Indios will play at home against Metros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The winners were led by Luis Santos who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds. Caneros' coach Jose Perez felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Even 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Jonatan Bello did not help to save the game for Marineros. Caneros have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-7 record having just one point less than leader Reales. Marineros lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Caneros will meet league's leader Reales in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Marineros will play against Titanes (#3) in San Cristobal and hope to secure a win.
